Life under house arrest is a unique and often challenging experience. Abruptly finding yourself stuck to your own home can be both isolating and frustrating. Despite it may seem like independence has been stripped away, there are ways to make the best of this situation. A multitude of activities can be enjoyed indoors, home arrest from watching movies to connecting with loved ones virtually. Keeping a positive mindset and finding structure in your day are crucial for adjusting to this imprisoned lifestyle. Remember, house arrest is a temporary condition, and with the right attitude, it can be a time for self-improvement.
Trapped Within These Walls
The dungeon's dampness/mouldy air/mustiness pressed against me, a constant reminder of my imprisonment/confinement/captivity. Outside, the world bustled/throbbed/hummed with life, oblivious to my plight. A Life Imprisoned at Home: Walls Close In
The borders of my home were always like a refuge. Now they press in, a constant indication of my confined existence. Days run into each other, marked only by the chime of the clock and the gnawing emptiness in my chest. Every whisper from outside is a cruel reminder of the life I left behind.
I wander through these unbearable rooms, hoping for some hint of light. The sunlight that once fell across my floor now seem distant, and the silence is oppressive.

Living on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically shifted. The world past our doors is a blur of its former bustle. We are now trapped within the boundaries of our homes, forced to adjust to a new reality. The days run together, marked by the cycle of online meetings, consuming media, and baking. We long for the simple pleasures that were once taken for granted: a hike in the park, a cup of tea with friends, or even just a chat without a screen separating us.
This new situation has brought challenges, but it has also exposed unexpected qualities within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more compassionate, more creative, and more appreciative for the little things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must keep hopeful that brighter days are coming.
Six Feet From Freedom
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face limitations that feel like an unbreakable barrier. The world outside seems so near, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels overwhelming. You crave freedom with every fiber of your being. The constant ticking of time serves as a reminder that you're confined.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be free. That day might seem uncertain, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Confined Liberation
The allure with freedom can be an enticing force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to confinement. This manifests when the very notion with freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a mechanism for control and domination.
Genuine freedom demands not only the absence of external constraints but also the nurturing of internal strength. When this inner base is lacking, even amidst a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves bound within the restrictions of their own thoughts.
Ultimately, the true measure for freedom lies in our ability to break free the obstacles that limit our potential, both externally and internally.
